The 2017 SuperSix EVO is designed to be the best climbing, best descending, best sprinting, best attacking, best all-around performance bike ever made. Because true power lies in the balance – designed for serious road racers, discerning enthusiasts, and anyone passionate about pure performance.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION - designing the frame, fork and key components like crankset and seatpost together as a system can save hundreds of grams compared to competitors.

ULTRA LIGHT DISC INTEGRATION - New For 2016 - the unreal control of discs, without the weight. Cannondale’s  flat mount integrated disc design adds less than 150 grams to the frameset, and maintains EVO’s sweet ride characteristics.

SPEED SAVE™ - PERFORMANCE ORIENTED SAVE FEATURES:  Much like the suspension on F1 cars, SPEED SAVE features are engineered to help the bike roll faster, not simply to make it more comfortable.  Emphasizing light weight and torsional rigidity, SPEED SAVE delivers improved rolling speed, better acceleration, and dramatically improved cornering speed without negatively affecting power transfer.

SPEED SAVE works primarily via the balance between rear triangle and the fork. On the rear triangle, both the chainstays and the seatstays are able to flex slightly vertically to absorb shock, while up front, the fork’s offset dropouts and lay-up allow it to have a matched amount of deflection. This creates a true micro-suspension system that allows the wheels to track over imperfect surfaces, whether the rider is seated or standing.  This in turn provides better traction and handling, higher speeds and faster cornering.

The second part of the system concentrates on rider comfort. The seat tube features a directionally optimised carbon layup which allows it to deflect slightly fore and aft, which diffuses vibration and impacts and reduces the energy-sapping muscle micro-trauma caused by long days in the saddle.  All told, the new EVO's comfort is improved by over 20%.

CONTINUOUS CARBON SPEED SAVE FORK - one-piece, BallisTec carbon fork. Continuous carbon fibre construction from dropout to top of steerer delivers great structural integrity. Crown-race-less design saves weight and improves fibre flow for amazing strength-to-weight.  6.1% increase in lateral stiffness. 12.5% increase in compliance. Tuned to work as a system with the rear triangle.

SAVE 25.4MM SEATPOST - on many models, a flexing SAVE seatpost delivers up to 36% more deflection at the saddle than similar 27.2 posts, for bump smoothing comfort when seated.

TAP AERO FEATURES - subtle TAP (Truncated Aero Profile) tube shapes in the downtube, seat tube, seat stays and fork reduce aero drag without the weight, stiffness and compliance compromises of regular aero profile tube.

DELTA SEAT TUBE - For increased stiffness, the seat tube flares to a dramatically wide, ovalized section where it meets the BB.

CONTINUOUS CARBON - A continuous network of high modulus stiffening fibres runs around joint areas and along the outer edges of the frames tubes, connecting all parts of the frame and allowing precise tuning of stiffness and ride quality.

28C TYRE CLEARANCE - The new SuperSix EVO is designed to accept up to 28c tyres for reduced rolling resistance and improved comfort over rougher roads.
